Rules and Regulations
Preamble
Atmos is a professional collaboration community available at app.atmos.ceo. On Atmos, people create profiles, connect with each other and come together in projects to study, research, work, support one another and build things together.
Purpose. These Rules and Regulations ("Rules") aim to keep Atmos a safe, productive and welcoming environment where collaboration happens with trust. They set out what is expected of each member, what is not allowed, how projects work and how moderation operates.
Who they apply to. These Rules apply to everyone who creates an account or uses the platform, in any role (member, project owner or project admin) and on any plan, including the Plus plan.
Acceptance. By creating an account or using Atmos, members confirm that they have read, understood and agree to these Rules. Anyone who does not agree should not use the platform.
Updates. These Rules may be updated to keep pace with the evolution of the community, the platform and the law, with prior notice, as set out in Chapter 13.
Chapter 1 – General provisions
Art. 1 – Purpose
These Rules establish the standards of conduct, participation, collaboration and moderation of the Atmos Community.
Art. 2 – Definitions
For the purposes of these Rules:
I – Atmos: the company responsible for the platform and the community;
II – platform: the Atmos digital environment available at app.atmos.ceo and its features;
III – member: any individual who holds an account on the platform;
IV – profile: the member's page, with name, photo, username, bio and any other information the member chooses to share;
V – project: a space created by a member on the platform to bring people together around a common goal;
VI – (project) owner: the member who holds ownership of the project, either by having created it or by having received it through a transfer;
VII – project administrator (admin): a member with management powers limited to a specific project;
VIII – project member: a project participant without management powers;
IX – moderation team (supervisors): people appointed by Atmos to oversee the community, review reports and flags, enforce these Rules and decide appeals;
X – moderation algorithms: automated systems that analyze content and activity to identify possible violations;
XI – content: any text, image, video, audio, file, link, code, message or other material published or sent on the platform;
XII – active account: an account in regular use, not suspended;
XIII – suspended account: an account whose access has been blocked, temporarily or permanently, by a moderation decision;
XIV – inactive profile: a label shown on the profile of an active account that has not been accessed for 90 (ninety) days or more, under Art. 11; it is not a sanction and does not change the account's status;
XV – badges: visual indicators on the profile that show the member's status (blue, green or gold), under Art. 9;
XVI – Atmos Live: the Atmos public showcase, available at live.atmos.ceo, where members who choose to do so and public projects may appear;
XVII – minor member: a member aged 16 or 17;
XVIII – linked legal guardian: the parent or legal guardian of a minor member whose account has been linked to the minor's account, under Art. 28, § 3.
Sole paragraph. For the purposes of these Rules, an account is always either active or suspended; there are no other account statuses.
Art. 3 – Minimum age and eligibility
The minimum age to hold an Atmos account is 16 (sixteen) years.
§ 1 Age is self-declared at sign-up and confirmed by document when the member requests the green badge.
§ 2 Consent from parents or guardians is not required for members aged 16 and 17, who participate subject to the restrictions in Chapter 5.
§ 3 Declaring a false age is a violation of these Rules. If a member is found to be under 16, the account will be closed. If a member who declared themselves an adult is found to be a minor, the account will immediately be placed under the rules of Chapter 5, without prejudice to other measures.
§ 4 A person whose account is suspended, temporarily or permanently, may not create a new account (Art. 74).
Art. 4 – Relationship with other documents
§ 1 These Rules complement the Atmos Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are separate documents and must be read together with these Rules.
§ 2 Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law 13,709/2018).
§ 3 In case of conflict, the Terms of Use prevail on contractual matters and the Privacy Policy prevails on matters relating to personal data; on matters of community conduct, behavior and moderation, these Rules prevail.
Art. 5 – Scope
§ 1 These Rules apply to everything that happens on the platform: profiles, projects, messages, content and interactions.
§ 2 Serious conduct outside the platform may also be taken into account, especially:
I – crimes;
II – cases involving minors;
III – proven harm to the Atmos brand.
Chapter 2 – Account and identity
Art. 6 – Accurate information, name and photo
§ 1 Members must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
§ 2 The profile name consists solely of the member's legal first name and surname and cannot be edited after sign-up.
§ 3 A change to a social name (the name by which a person identifies and is socially recognized) may only be made by email request to Atmos (support@atmos.ceo), in accordance with the procedures set by Atmos. Typing errors made at sign-up may be corrected through the same channel.
§ 4 Stage names, nicknames and brand names are not allowed in name fields (for example, "DJ Fulano"). This information may be included in the bio.
§ 5 A profile photo is optional; when used, it must be a real image of the member and comply with these Rules.
§ 6 Using another person's name, photo or data is not allowed.
Art. 7 – One account per person
§ 1 Each person may have only one account.
§ 2 The account is personal and non-transferable: it may not be sold, assigned, lent or shared, and its credentials may not be passed on to anyone else.
§ 3 Members are responsible for the security of their access and for any actions taken with their account.
§ 4 Duplicate accounts will be handled under Art. 74.
§ 5 Accounts for companies and organizations will be regulated in the future. Until then, only individuals may hold accounts.
Art. 8 – Username
§ 1 The username is unique and identifies the member on the platform.
§ 2 The following usernames are not allowed:
I – reserved usernames, which refer to Atmos, its team or official roles (for example, "atmos", "suporte", "support", "moderacao", "admin", "oficial"), according to a list maintained by Atmos;
II – inappropriate usernames, such as offensive, discriminatory, sexual or violent ones, or any that breach these Rules;
III – impersonating usernames, which pose as another person, brand, company or institution or could mislead other members.
§ 3 Atmos may require a change of, or change, any username that breaches this article.
§ 4 Usernames may not be sold or traded.
Art. 9 – Badges
§ 1 Badges indicate:
I – blue badge: fully completed profile;
II – green badge: document submitted and identity confirmed;
III – gold badge: member subscribed to the paid Plus plan.
§ 2 The Plus plan offers higher usage limits, such as creating more projects, as described on the Atmos plans page. The Plus plan gives no advantage whatsoever in moderation: the rules are the same for everyone.
§ 3 A member loses a badge only when the information it is based on is no longer true, for example, when the profile is no longer complete, when the identity provided is found to be untrue, or when the Plus subscription ends.
§ 4 A badge is not an endorsement: no badge, including the green badge, means that Atmos recommends, vouches for or is responsible for the person or their work.
§ 5 Obtaining or attempting to obtain a badge using false information or documents is a serious violation.
Art. 10 – Public profile, private profile and Atmos Live
§ 1 Members may keep their profile public or private.
§ 2 On a private profile, only the name, photo, username and badges are visible to everyone; all other information is visible only to followers approved by the member and to participants in shared projects.
§ 3 Members may choose whether or not to appear on Atmos Live. This option is turned off by default.
§ 4 Minor members have a private profile by default and may choose to make it public and to appear on Atmos Live (Art. 28).
§ 5 A private profile remains subject to these Rules and to moderation.
Art. 11 – Inactivity
§ 1 An account that has not been accessed for 90 (ninety) days receives the "inactive" label on its profile.
§ 2 A profile labeled "inactive" remains visible, according to the member's settings, but is no longer shown in suggestions.
§ 3 The account remains on the platform indefinitely, unless the member requests its deletion.
§ 4 The label is removed as soon as the member accesses the platform again.
Art. 12 – Suspension
An account may be suspended, temporarily or permanently, under Chapter 12. During a suspension, the member may not use the account or create another one.
Art. 13 – Account deletion
§ 1 Members may request deletion of their account at any time, in the account settings or by email to support@atmos.ceo.
§ 2 Upon deletion, contributions made to projects remain in the projects, but the member's name is removed and replaced with the label "former member".
§ 3 A project owner must appoint a successor before the deletion is completed (Art. 49).
§ 4 Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the LGPD.
Chapter 3 – Expected conduct
Art. 14 – Respect, collaboration and good faith
Every member is expected to:
I – treat other people with respect and courtesy;
II – collaborate generously, deliver on what was agreed and acknowledge the work of others;
III – act in good faith, being honest about who they are, what they know and what they offer;
IV – help keep the environment safe and welcoming, especially for newcomers.
Art. 15 – Languages
§ 1 The official languages of the community are Portuguese and English.
§ 2 Each project may set its main language. Other languages may be used in projects and messages when the participants agree; the moderation team may request a translation when needed to review a case.
§ 3 Members are encouraged to be patient with those who write in another language or are still learning it.
Art. 16 – Professional communication and constructive disagreement
§ 1 Communication must be clear, courteous and appropriate for a professional environment.
§ 2 Disagreement is healthy. Criticize ideas, not people; present arguments and, whenever possible, alternatives.
§ 3 If a conversation becomes heated, it is advisable to take a break and, if necessary, reach out to the project admins or the moderation team.
Art. 17 – Looking after the community
Anyone who witnesses a violation of these Rules should report it (Art. 66). Reporting is a way of looking after the community.
Chapter 4 – Prohibited conduct
The prohibitions in this Chapter apply to every space on the platform: profiles, projects (public or private), messages and content.
Art. 18 – Harassment, intimidation, threats and hate speech
The following are prohibited:
I – harassing, stalking, intimidating or embarrassing anyone, including through persistent contact after a refusal;
II – making threats of any kind;
III – engaging in or encouraging hate speech, that is, attacks on people or groups based on race, color, ethnicity, origin, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, health condition or religion;
IV – sexual harassment, including through unwanted sexual comments, invitations or images.
Art. 19 – Discrimination
Excluding, passing over or treating anyone unfavorably because of the characteristics listed in Art. 18, III, is prohibited, including in invitations, applications and selections for projects and job openings.
Sole paragraph. Objective and legitimate criteria related to the goal of the project or job opening (such as a specific technical skill or language) do not constitute discrimination.
Art. 20 – Defamation and exposure of third-party data
The following are prohibited:
I – falsely accusing of crimes, defaming or insulting people, companies or institutions;
II – disclosing third parties' personal data without authorization, such as address, phone number, documents, financial or health data;
III – exposing third parties' private information to embarrass, pressure or harm them.
Art. 21 – Sexual, violent or illegal content
Publishing, sending or sharing the following is prohibited:
I – sexual content or adult content;
II – violent or shocking content, or content that glorifies violence, self-harm or suicide;
III – illegal content, or content that encourages, teaches or facilitates the commission of crimes;
IV – any content that sexualizes minors, which results in immediate suspension and reporting to the authorities.
Art. 22 – Spam, scams, phishing, false identity and fraud
The following are prohibited:
I – sending spam or mass, repetitive or unsolicited messages, subject to Art. 61;
II – running or attempting to run scams, including pyramid schemes and promises of unrealistic earnings;
III – phishing or attempting to obtain other people's passwords, data or access;
IV – impersonating another person, company or institution, or misrepresenting qualifications, affiliations or experience in a way that misleads others;
V – defrauding documents, badges, payments or any feature of the platform;
VI – distributing viruses, malware or malicious links.
Art. 23 – Pseudoscience
§ 1 Atmos does not associate with, does not promote and does not allow the promotion of practices without scientific validation, such as "quantum coaching" and "quantum bioresonance", among others.
§ 2 Projects, profiles or content that promote, sell or advertise such practices are not allowed.
§ 3 Critical or scientific study of these topics is allowed, for example, research on the lack of scientific basis of a given practice or on its impacts.
Art. 24 – Politics and religion
§ 1 Politics and religion are not topics for debate in the community. Proselytizing, campaigning or political or religious propaganda are not allowed in profiles, projects, messages or content.
§ 2 Political or religious projects are not allowed, except academic study or research projects on these topics, without proselytizing or campaigning.
§ 3 Members may mention their religion or political views in their profile bio, as personal information, without proselytizing, campaigning or attacks.
Art. 25 – Platform manipulation
The following are prohibited:
I – creating or using fake, duplicate or automated accounts;
II – buying, selling or generating followers, likes, applications or any artificial interaction;
III – using bots, scripts or automated data extraction without authorization from Atmos;
IV – circumventing usage limits, sanctions or moderation systems;
V – exploiting platform flaws. Anyone who finds a flaw should report it to Atmos at support@atmos.ceo.
Art. 26 – Indirect participation
Encouraging, helping or organizing others to breach these Rules is also a violation.
Chapter 5 – Protection of minors
Art. 27 – Principle
The protection of children and adolescents is an absolute priority at Atmos, in line with the Brazilian Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) and the LGPD. In case of doubt, the protection of the minor prevails.
Art. 28 – Rules for members aged 16 and 17
§ 1 The following rules apply to minor members:
I – the profile is private by default, and the minor may choose to make it public and to appear on Atmos Live;
II – the minor does not receive invitations from strangers, meaning members the minor does not follow;
III – the minor may only join projects under the conditions of Art. 29;
IV – the minor never receives commercial approaches;
V – the minor is never named when Atmos promotes case studies (Art. 37).
§ 2 Private messages between adults and minors are not allowed anywhere on the platform, except between the minor and their linked legal guardian.
§ 3 Linking a legal guardian is optional and is done by request to support@atmos.ceo, with proof of guardianship. The guardian must have their own account with a green badge. Atmos confirms the link after review.
Art. 29 – Participation of minors in projects
§ 1 A minor member may only join a project with the authorization of the project admins, regardless of how they join (invitation, application or link).
§ 2 A project may only accept minors if all of the following apply:
I – the project owner has the green badge (identity confirmed);
II – the project's theme is appropriate for minors;
III – communication takes place exclusively in the project's group channels.
§ 3 Projects that are not appropriate for minors include, among others, those involving: adult content or romantic relationships; alcohol, tobacco or other substances; betting and gambling; risky investments or financial operations; activities that put physical safety at risk; or commercial hiring of the minor in breach of the law. In case of doubt, the moderation team decides.
Art. 30 – Zero tolerance
§ 1 Atmos has zero tolerance for grooming of minors and for any inappropriate content involving or directed at minors.
§ 2 Such cases result in immediate suspension of the account and reporting to the competent authorities, including when the events take place outside the platform (Art. 5).
Art. 31 – Duty to report
Any member who knows of or suspects grooming, abuse or inappropriate content involving minors must report it immediately to the moderation team. When in doubt, report.
Chapter 6 – Profiles, content and intellectual property
Art. 32 – Responsibility for content
Each member is responsible for what they publish, send or share, including the accuracy of the information and the right to use the material.
Art. 33 – Copyright and third-party trademarks
§ 1 Members must respect third-party copyright and trademarks, publishing only content they created, are authorized to use or whose use is permitted by law.
§ 2 When using third-party material, members must give proper credit and respect the applicable license.
§ 3 Anyone who believes their rights have been infringed may notify Atmos at support@atmos.ceo, providing: the notifying party's identification; the work or trademark concerned and proof of ownership; and the location of the content on the platform. The moderation team will review the case.
Art. 34 – Co-authorship in projects
§ 1 In the absence of an agreement among members, the output of a project is considered a co-authorship of all members who contributed.
§ 2 It is recommended that each project formalize in writing, from the outset, an agreement on authorship, ownership, use and any sharing of results and revenue.
§ 3 Atmos is not a party to these agreements (Art. 53).
Art. 35 – AI-generated content
§ 1 Content generated mostly by artificial intelligence must be labeled as such.
§ 2 Using artificial intelligence as a support tool (proofreading, translation, organizing ideas, occasional suggestions) does not require a label.
§ 3 AI-generated content is subject to all other provisions of these Rules, and whoever publishes it is responsible for it as if it were their own work.
Art. 36 – Atmos brand
The Atmos name, brand, logo and other distinctive signs may only be used with prior authorization from Atmos, requested at contato@atmos.ceo. Suggesting a partnership, sponsorship or official affiliation that does not exist is prohibited.
Art. 37 – Promotion of projects by Atmos
§ 1 Any public project may be promoted by Atmos as a case study, on and off the platform. There is no option to opt out of this promotion; anyone who does not want a project to be promoted should keep it private.
§ 2 Promotion respects each member's privacy: only members with public profiles are named, and never minors.
§ 3 Atmos seeks to encourage and amplify projects that can do good for the world.
§ 4 The content use license for promoting case studies is governed by the Terms of Use.
Chapter 7 – Connections and privacy between members
Art. 38 – Following and unfollowing
§ 1 Each member freely chooses whom to follow and may unfollow anyone at any time, without having to give a reason.
§ 2 Unfollowing is not an offense; insisting on being followed back, pressuring or retaliating is not acceptable.
§ 3 When the platform provides features to block or mute members, they may be used freely and without justification.
Art. 39 – Unwanted messages
§ 1 Anyone asked to stop sending messages must respect that request.
§ 2 Commercial approaches by direct message are governed by Art. 61.
§ 3 Private messages between adults and minors are prohibited, under Art. 28, § 2.
Art. 40 – Screenshots and recordings of private content
§ 1 Screenshots, recordings or copies of private content, such as direct messages and content from private projects, may only be shared outside the platform with the consent of all participants.
§ 2 Exception: consent is not required to send such material to the Atmos moderation team or to the authorities for reporting purposes.
Art. 41 – Use of other members' data outside the platform
§ 1 Data about other members accessed on Atmos may only be used for the purpose of the interaction on the platform (for example, collaborating on a project).
§ 2 Copying, collecting, selling, passing on or using such data for other purposes, such as contact lists, marketing or third-party databases, without the data subject's authorization and in breach of the LGPD, is prohibited.
Art. 42 – Analysis of private content
Private content (direct messages and private projects) is also analyzed by the moderation algorithms. A human moderator only accesses private content that has been flagged by the algorithms or reported, under Art. 65 and the Privacy Policy.
Chapter 8 – Projects and collaboration
Art. 43 – Creating projects
§ 1 Members may create projects within the limits of their plan, as described on the Atmos plans page.
§ 2 To publish a public project, the owner's profile must have the blue badge.
§ 3 A public project goes live immediately. If the moderation algorithms flag it as a possible violation, it remains hidden until approved by a moderator, and the owner is informed.
§ 4 Every project must comply with the scope set out in Chapter 9.
Art. 44 – Visibility
§ 1 A project may be public or private.
§ 2 Private projects are subject to the same rules and the same monitoring as public projects. A project being private does not change what is allowed.
Art. 45 – Roles and responsibilities
§ 1 Owner: is accountable for the project to the community; sets its goal, visibility and internal rules (which may never contradict these Rules); appoints and removes admins; is the only one who can transfer ownership.
§ 2 Admin: helps manage the project; approves or declines applications; invites and removes members; moderates the project's content.
§ 3 Member: participates and contributes as agreed in the project.
§ 4 Everyone, in any role, must comply with these Rules. Owners and admins must also ensure the project complies with them and contact the moderation team when necessary.
Art. 46 – Protection of the owner
A project admin may not remove or demote the owner.
Art. 47 – Joining projects: invitations, applications and link
§ 1 Members may join a project by invitation, by approved application or by a sharing link.
§ 2 Whoever shares a project link is responsible for doing so appropriately; sharing must not amount to spam.
§ 3 Minors may only join in accordance with Art. 29, including when joining by link.
§ 4 Applications must be assessed respectfully and without discrimination (Art. 19).
Art. 48 – Leaving and removal of members
§ 1 Members may leave a project at any time.
§ 2 Owners and admins may remove members, respectfully and in accordance with the project's internal rules.
§ 3 When a member leaves or is removed, contributions already made remain in the project, with credit kept for whoever made them, unless otherwise agreed among those involved or in the case of account deletion (Art. 13, § 2).
Art. 49 – Owner leaving
§ 1 An owner who wishes to leave the project must appoint a successor: first from among the admins; if there are none, from among the members.
§ 2 If the owner is the only participant, their departure results in the project being closed.
Art. 50 – Transfer of ownership
§ 1 Only the owner may transfer ownership of the project.
§ 2 Upon transfer, the previous owner becomes an admin of the project and may leave afterwards.
Art. 51 – Inactive owner
If the owner's profile receives the "inactive" label (Art. 11), a project admin may ask the moderation team to transfer ownership to them. Moderation will review the request.
Art. 52 – Closing a project
§ 1 The owner may close the project at any time. Participants are notified through the platform; the project is no longer visible and no longer accepts participants, and the data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
§ 2 Atmos may suspend or remove projects that breach these Rules (Arts. 58 and 75).
Art. 53 – Conflicts and agreements between collaborators
§ 1 It is recommended that projects set out in writing, from the outset, their goals, responsibilities, deadlines, authorship and any sharing of results.
§ 2 Agreements between collaborators are the responsibility of the parties; Atmos is not a party to them, does not guarantee their fulfillment and is not liable for them.
§ 3 Conflicts should first be handled within the project itself, through dialogue and in good faith. Atmos does not mediate private or commercial disputes between collaborators and acts only when these Rules have been breached.
Chapter 9 – Scope of allowed projects
Art. 54 – Purpose is what decides
On Atmos, what determines whether a project is allowed is its purpose. The same type of project (a band, a study, a platform) may be allowed or prohibited depending on the purpose it serves.
Art. 55 – General criteria
§ 1 A project is allowed when its purpose is lawful, consistent with these Rules and does not cause harm to people, groups or society.
§ 2 A project is not allowed when its main or secondary purpose:
I – is to commit, facilitate, teach or glorify crimes;
II – spreads hatred, discrimination or violence;
III – involves sexual content or adult content;
IV – could cause serious harm to people's life, health or safety, such as developing weapons, including biological, chemical or mass-destruction weapons;
V – is to break into, attack or compromise systems, networks or data without authorization;
VI – promotes pseudoscience (Art. 23);
VII – is political or religious, except academic projects without proselytizing (Art. 24);
VIII – serves scams, fraud or spam;
IX – breaches these Rules in any way.
§ 3 The assessment considers both the stated purpose and what the project actually does.
Art. 56 – Illustrative examples
The examples below are illustrative, not exhaustive, and serve to show how the purpose criterion is applied.
| Allowed | Not allowed |
|---|---|
| Study, research, work or support group | Group to plan or commit crimes |
| Starting a band | A band that spreads hatred or glorifies crime |
| Study of a rare disease and search for treatment | Studying how to attack a government website or how to make a biological weapon |
| Building a learning platform | Bringing programmers together to develop an adult content website |
| Academic research on politics, religion or pseudoscience | Political or religious project, campaigning, proselytizing or promotion of pseudoscience |
Art. 57 – Borderline cases
§ 1 Sensitive topics may be the subject of legitimate study when the purpose is academic, critical or protective, without promoting the practice.
§ 2 Information security projects are allowed for educational and defensive purposes. Tests on third-party systems are only permitted with documented authorization from the system's owner; never against systems without authorization.
§ 3 If in doubt before creating a project, consult the moderation team at support@atmos.ceo.
Art. 58 – Out-of-scope project
§ 1 A project that breaches this Chapter will first be suspended for correction.
§ 2 If the violation persists, the project will be removed.
§ 3 When the project's purpose itself is serious and cannot be corrected, such as crimes, weapons or situations involving minors, the immediate measures of Chapter 12 apply, without prejudice to reporting to the authorities.
Chapter 10 – Commercial use and promotion
Art. 59 – Self-promotion
Promoting one's own work, products or services is allowed only on one's own profile and in projects, when consistent with the project's goal and internal rules.
Art. 60 – Job openings and services
§ 1 Posting job openings and offering services is allowed, provided this is done truthfully, clearly and lawfully.
§ 2 Misleading job openings or offers, those that charge a fee to apply, those involving pyramid schemes or those that breach these Rules are not allowed.
Art. 61 – Commercial approach by direct message
§ 1 A single unsolicited commercial approach, made courteously by direct message, is allowed.
§ 2 Repeating the approach constitutes spam.
§ 3 Commercial approaches to minors are never allowed.
Art. 62 – Spam and sponsored content
§ 1 Spam in any form is prohibited: mass messages, repetitive posts, off-topic links or promotion in other people's projects without authorization.
§ 2 Atmos does not currently offer sponsored content or advertising. Any paid or third-party-sponsored promotion made by members must be clearly labeled as such.
Art. 63 – Atmos's relationship with external activities
§ 1 Business, contracts and services agreed between members, on or off the platform, are the sole responsibility of those involved. Atmos is not a party to, does not endorse and does not guarantee these relationships.
§ 2 This article does not prevent Atmos from acting in the cases set out in Art. 5, § 2.
Chapter 11 – Moderation and enforcement
Art. 64 – Who moderates
§ 1 Moderation on Atmos is carried out by the moderation team (supervisors), made up of people, supported by moderation algorithms that monitor content and activity.
§ 2 Project admins act only within their own project, under Art. 68.
Art. 65 – Moderation algorithms
§ 1 The moderation algorithms analyze content and activity, including private content.
§ 2 A human moderator only accesses private content that has been flagged by the algorithms or reported.
§ 3 Depending on severity, the algorithms may, on their own, hide content or automatically suspend accounts and projects.
§ 4 Any automated action may be appealed, with human review (Art. 76).
Art. 66 – Reports
§ 1 Any member may report violations to the moderation team, using the report button on the platform or by email to support@atmos.ceo.
§ 2 Reports may be anonymous or identified. In identified reports, the reporter's identity is kept confidential.
§ 3 Atmos reviews every report. In identified reports, the reporter receives an acknowledgment of receipt and is informed when the review is concluded, without details of any sanction applied to third parties.
§ 4 False reports made in bad faith constitute a violation of these Rules.
Art. 67 – Moderation principles
Moderation follows the principles of:
I – proportionality: the measure must match the severity of the case;
II – impartiality: the rules apply equally to everyone, regardless of plan, badge, position or relationship with Atmos;
III – confidentiality: cases are handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to know or with the authorities, where appropriate.
Art. 68 – Limits of project admins
§ 1 Project admins moderate only their own project: they may remove content and members from the project and apply its internal rules.
§ 2 They may not apply sanctions to a member's account on the platform, nor remove or demote the owner (Art. 46).
§ 3 Abuse by project admins may be reported to the moderation team.
Art. 69 – Cooperation with authorities
Atmos reports to the competent authorities cases that may constitute a crime, especially those involving minors, and complies with legal requests, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Chapter 12 – Sanctions and appeals
Art. 70 – Scale of sanctions
Atmos may apply, depending on the case:
I – guidance;
II – warning;
III – content hiding;
IV – temporary suspension;
V – permanent suspension;
VI – reporting to the authorities.
§ 1 The scale is not a mandatory sequence: measures may be applied individually or together, depending on severity.
§ 2 Atmos does not apply feature restrictions. The author of hidden content is informed of the hiding through the platform.
Art. 71 – Case-by-case decisions
§ 1 These Rules set out only general principles. The moderation team decides case by case, considering, among other factors, severity, intent, harm caused, repeat offenses and the involvement of minors.
§ 2 Annex A contains general guidance and is not a binding table.
Art. 72 – Notice of sanctions
§ 1 Every suspension is notified by email, with the reason and instructions on how to appeal.
§ 2 Notice of guidance and warnings is at the discretion of the supervisor or algorithm responsible.
Art. 73 – Immediate suspension and permanent suspension
§ 1 Serious cases may lead to immediate suspension, without prior guidance or warning.
§ 2 Permanent suspension is reserved for extreme cases.
§ 3 Even after a permanent suspension, the member may appeal and request a later review of the decision.
Art. 74 – Duplicate accounts
§ 1 Each person may have only one account (Art. 7).
§ 2 Any new account created during a suspension, whether temporary or permanent, will be identified as a duplicate and banned.
Art. 75 – Sanctions on projects
§ 1 Projects may have content hidden, be suspended or be removed.
§ 2 Out-of-scope projects are handled under Art. 58.
§ 3 A sanction applied to a project does not prevent individual sanctions on those responsible.
Art. 76 – Appeals
§ 1 Members may appeal any moderation decision, whether human or automated, at any time, with no deadline for filing.
§ 2 Appeals must be sent by email to support@atmos.ceo (or through the platform form, when available), identifying the account and stating the grounds for the request.
§ 3 Appeals are reviewed by the Atmos moderation team, with no fixed response time.
§ 4 The human decision is final and may confirm or revoke the measure, without prejudice to the request for later review provided for in Art. 73, § 3.
